Boldly shaped and intricately woven these are casually elegant. The earring is almost entirely stitched with hundreds of little Japanese seed beads and nylon thread.
I first weave the top diamond shape with with an unusually matte white with copper accents. Then I start on the bottom 3/4 circle in black with a semi transparent, faceted Czech bead in the center. I weave another semi transparent teardrop bead with copper accents on the outer side of circle as I create the tube. I attach it to the diamond and reinforce it all around.
VERY light weight for the size, after all is mostly glass and thread. 2.5 is inches from the top of the hook to the bottom and 1.75 across at the widest point. Antique brass ear wires finish the look.
